Day 5: How Much Did You Work Last Year?

I had to take a hiatus after seeing the brutal reality of what I really made last year.  It was truly shocking to me.  I hope this break has given you enough time to catch-up if you had not been on track or if you are just starting your 31 Days to Fix Your Finances.  Let’s take a look at Day 5 How Much Did You Work Last Year.

The Simple Dollar causes us to take a closer look at how much time we have actually devoted to making the money we make on a yearly basis.  In this exercise we come to realize that 9:00am – 5:00pm is not truly 9:00am – 5:00pm when calculating hours we use for work and work related activities.  We spend much longer hours on things work related than we may realize.

The Simple Dollar leaves us with some thoughts to think about, particularly the wisdom in the choice of job and location we have opted for.  Take some time to think about your own situation today.
